Rain?!

Hello Everyone,

Hope your all well, its been a bit of a weird week. It was so boiling, and then it started raining! Its like being back in England... Im not gonna lie. At first i loved it. Stood in the rain and lapped it up. Although now its still raining... not snowing!!!! We need snowwwwww!!!!!!!! So were having a pray for snow bbq on the mountain to keep the instructors morale up which is nice. Were in discussion of making a grind rail out of old ski's for our garden too.

To be honest not a lot has been going on, just wanted to send my love.

More Noise in a libary

Hello Everyone!!

Sorry about the long delay between blogs, a lots being going on.

So I went to Reno, which is like the nearest big place to us. Got a casino hotel which was amazing and ate for England in the Buffet. We did it all on a bu get of $7 a night... Class. And then got the legendary Greyhound bus back to Tahoe. Then came back that evening to pick up Lozzo and Mum! I moved in with them for the week and it was so lovely. It went so quick and we had an awesome time. I also have a nice stash of English food and living the dream with my Weetabix!!!!!!!!!!!!! So good!

I bought some new snowboarding boots which are verrryyyy pretty, and a right bargain. Just getting my board sorted now. Its so quiet here at the moment its unreal. I had my first lesson since new years today and it went really well, Bit strange actually teaching on ski's ( Sounds silly i know but it rarely happens only if you get the right age group ) Its nice at the moment, I'm really starting to find people to bond with, and as Mum and Lozzo realised they re mainly Aussies ( but not all Mike!) . Bit gutting Kara leaves in Feb, But Lachlan is coming to England in July which will be cool and Mike lives just down the round in lovely old swindon... bad times... but he has to put up with me once were back in sunny England. They keep me sane and looked after, a little temp family. I went to Reno with them which is nice. And Dad and Fi you get the pleasure of meeting them in feb :-)!

Happy New Year!!!

Hello Everyone!

Firstly... HAPPY NEW YEARRRRRRSSS!!!!!! Sorry about the belated blog update but its been pretty crazy. Ive had to work and then got ill... Nightmare. First class of 3, 4 and 5 year olds and everything that could go wrong... went wrong. We had one pee his pants ( Code Yellow ) , One pee on the floor take his jacket off put it in the pee and jumped on it. Then one got crashed into by another skier and had to be ski patrolled off to hosiptal, Then we had a Code One... Lost kid. Satans child ran off then came back THANK GOD! Then had one who wouldnt let go of my leg and the other that cried the whole time and refuse to do more than 4 ski runs... My managers gave me a Good Job card. Which is like a reward for working my ass off... Im not entirely sure why i got it but he said it was because i had a rubbish day and still smiled through it and saw it through. Its nice to know that things get recognised when your here!

So aside from that eventful day I had my first day on the slopes since my injury. Was awesome, Did the "backside" which is like the black runs, Was nice to get back on the mountain, even if i did fall over. I was worried but i got up and was all good so at least that first fall fear is over and done. We were going to go down Switchboard the run i did my knee on but felt it was tempting fate!

So Mum and Lozzo are coming out in two days. Im so excited!! Everyone is too, ive talked about everyone back home now it feels weird theyre coming out! I skied passed theyre hotel today and everyones jealous how close to the slopes were going to be!

I hope everyone had an awesome new year, We crossed the border from California to Nevada and went to the casino, It was weird, something out of oceans eleven. There was a live band and lots of gambling. But everyone came back with money up so thats all that matters right?!

Wow this was a long blog...
