What a week!!

Sorry about slacking on the blogs, I spoke to you all so I figured there wasnt a rush for the next one! Firstly. HAPPY BIRTHDAY FRAN!!!! XXXXXXXXXXXXX I'll Be sending your birthday card as soon as im aloud out the house! Secondly. Congratulations Dad and Fi!!!! Im not sure what I send to engagements?! but ill think of something!!!

A lots been going on, which your all aware of. The house threw me a birthday party on christmas eve and spoilt me rotten with presents! I also got my uniform which you can see in the pics! Did my Knee in on my birthday so that wasnt the best birthday present, Find out tommorrow about if i need surgery. So i have everything crossed ill be all good. Tommorrow i also get to put on the cheeky red uniform and spend the day doing non ski jobs, So im pretty pumped for that!!!

Snow Snow Snow

Hello Everyone!

Hope your all doing well, missing you all like crazy.

Well yesterday we hit the slopes for our first day of full free ski. It was unreal! The runs are stunning and mostly ungroomed at the moment so theres lots of fresh powder. Hit the freestyle park a little bit... slightly winded myself but its all part of the fun!!!

We hosted our housewarming party last night, which was good fun. Spoke to mumsie and we both booed like babies! My roomies are making me a countdown til they come out!

What a few days!

Hello Everyone!

Sorry about the lack of updates! Well firstly... I PASSED!!! I'm an official professional skier! Autographs anyone?! That was amazing and I havn't smiled so much in so long! We had a big party and had to dress up as something beginning with E or A so i went as an athlete... Shorts + Vest + snow = A very cold Megan!!!

Secondly... Im now in my new house! Its stunning and when we got here We had to dig a drive way there was that much snow!!! Its really nice and I live with a great bunch of people... Check out my pics below!

So I have a few days before I start work so thats nice, then im in full swing of work til early Jan, when Mum and Lozzo are coming out!!!! :-D!!!

Exam day One!

Hello Everyone

Hope your all looking after eachother.

Today was my first exam. It went really well I think, I was so nervous but the examiner was really helpful and complimenting. It was so cold it was like the arctic. So Fi I cracked out whats so fondly been named "the dead cat hat" but ooh my it kept me toasty! The exam was long and tough and I had a nice natter with the examiner when we got stranded midair on a gondola... i reassured him though "Its okay, if we get stuck here ive got a jam sandwhich" I felt it he apreciated it... even if Angus didnt!!!

Ive been a bit ill since ive been here and Nicola has been looking after me and being a complete STAR! I came home and thought i was dying and she made me my hot lavender monkey and a cuppa! And now she's making dinner! I think you should all bring her lots of yorkshire tea bags when you come out because shes been my saviour!!

I better help with this dinner... and eat it :D

First day teaching...First day Snow!

Hello Everyone

Well today I got to help teach a lesson to 10 beginners...Who spoke no english... just chinese...

Im not going to say anymore than that, just that was one of the most tough experiences EVER. It wasnt the teaching part, it was the trying to break the language barrier. It ended with lots of high fives and thumbs ups and snow diagrams and shouting TRIANGLE TRIANGLE! haha. But at the end of the day I have seen a whole new outlook to teaching, and actually when they started to get it. It felt so good.

Today we also had our first official snow. It was so exciting! We all woke up and ran to the window and screamed. It was like christmas morning!!!!

I'll get some pictures in my uniform once ive got it and ill pop them up! Although me and Adam got photographed on the slopes and they liked it so much its in theyre wall of fame!!!

Owwww

Hello Everyone!

Well I'm officially in training now, and my god, my body hurts SO much. I'm turning into the incredible shrinking Meg, I'm literally hanging out my clothes now! NOT cool.

Last night work threw a inside out party, so we all had to wear all our clothes inside out, was very odd but really funny. We also ended up doing Souja Boy... Today i learnt boarding, which was good fun, but it was quite warm so i didn't bother with my thermal pants... consequently i had a sore and soggy bottom! And then Tom morrow i do believe I'm back to the slave driver Richard Gere look a alike who makes me hike up slopes, ski on one ski and then ski backwards. But its all in the fun of the season!

Everything is going well here, I'm starting to settle and make some really good friends which is, nice but nothing like a bit of Mums cooking, Pammy's weirdness, Gazz's bugging, Dad's switchboard conversations and Emma's baby noises! But you would all be proud, i have cooked for the house twice; Fajitas and Spag Bol! Although i must say mum, yours is WAY better.

First day of snow!

Hello Everyone!!

Today was the first visit to the slopes!! and no it hasnt snowed!!! They made snow using the canons so we had about 4 slopes open, not much but better than a poke in the eye with a blunt stick!!!

My new boots and Ski's were amazing, the comfy boots and majorly fast skis made my skiing soooo much easier! Although im still feeling the after effects and so are my ankles... which i will put a pic of at the bottom of the page! Owww!!!

Its been really strange because were training for teaching weve had to go back to basics, brining me back to the old "BIIIGGGG SNOOOWPLLOOUUUGHHH" days!!

Tommorrow is the same will be hitting the slopes my bus arriving at 7!!! YUCK!

Reno and The Tundra

Hello Everyone,

Today was the first day off where we got to do what we wanted, so we hired a HUGE car and drove from California to Reno, Nevada. The view was beautiful, truly breathtaking, i just wish you were all here to see them!!!

Tomorrow i think we will be looking at accomodation but hopefully the house i posted to you on the last blog will be ours, FINGERS CROSSED!!!

As most of you know im now mainly using my Americian sim card as its way cheaper. So its 5303867236... I think mum said it needs a 0 at the start but check with her!

I just managed to speak to Gazz on webcam, booed my eyes out! what a pansy!

Im on the hunt for a house at the moment so its a tad stressful, the internet is also down at the house so im in a net cafe...

First day of training... no snow... Not good...

Dad thermal undies are still in my bag as its SO hot here, i have no clothes either because i only planned on cold weather! Although theyre making snow so they recon saturday we will be on the mountain!!!!!

Dad and Gazz can you send me your addresses so i can send stuff.

Adapting

Hello everyone!

Hope your all keeping well, I'm laying in my bed of my 3 week accommodation and its SO cold.
Its like 1am so i should be sleeping, but couldn't resist speaking to some of you as its semi normal time over the pond.

I'm semi settling now, its hard because I'm not in my permanent house so I'm not ready to blue tack my pictures up as i don't think my poor little homesick heart can handle it! As Ive said to Mum and Dad, Feel free to top up my mobile whenever you see fit, hehe, Ive spent SO much credit already I'm pretty sure its a record...

I'll put some pictures up once Ive unpacked properly.

Im Here...

Finally Arrived...

Leaving everyone this morning was tough beyond words, it brings tears to my eyes just thinking of you all. I miss you all so much already and hope this feeling of regret goes.

After 11 long hours on the plane and much airport time, im finally lying on my bed in San Francisco, looking out my window at the amazing view of the Golden Gate Bridge, I only wish I had you all here to see it.

I miss you all like crazy, Ill speak to you all soon!

A week left till I depart...
